The first look!

Sobbing eyes, beautiful and wide

Around me, flashed as a tide

Waves, of the little red sea

Hit the shore, in its spree

Deep in the shore, the sparkling light

Lit the eyes that shines so bright!

 

A black little mountain

In the ocean of her eyes

Peak of it, was a struggling man

Holding it tight, struggling to stand

Droplets, awaiting to drip

For the man, to lose his grip

 

Oh! I jumped to save

But I, stood in dismay

As I went near,

It was me, standing in fear

Within the mountain, her eye ball

Rolling me - as a fireball!!

Poet Alice Christiana Gertrude Meynell was born in London, England, on September 22, 1847. Her family birth name was Thompson. Interestingly, her father was a friend of Charles Dickens. Her first poetry collection PRELUDES was published in 1875 and was illustrated by her older sister Elizabeth (the artist Lady Elizabeth Butler). She later married Wilfred Meynell. She was much involv...ed in editorial work on publications with her husband and in her own writing, poetry, and prose. She wrote regularly for a number of British magazines. Alice Meynell died in November of 1922. Her quotes on happiness are particularly important to focus on, in the spirit of our author Gayathri Devi Ramachandran’s book FIVE TO FIFTY: THE SEACH NEVER ENDS. Often we search for happiness in things that are external to us, while true happiness can be found only inside of us. Happy New Year 2014

வாழ்க்கை சரிதம்

வாழ்க்கையை கூர்ந்து பார்
என்றனர் சான்றோர்

புத்தாடை, பொலிவான முகம்
களிப்பும், கலகலப்பும் இணைந்த
பளிச்சிடும் புகைபடங்கள்
இனிமையை பறைசாற்றின

இன்னும் கூர்ந்து பார்
என்றனர் சான்றோர்

புத்தகத்தின் பக்கங்களை திருப்பினேன்
பொலிவு மெல்ல மெல்ல குறைந்தது
காகித்தின் தரம் குறைந்து விட்டதோ
அதிர்ச்சியில் நான்!

அடித்தல் திருத்தல் நிறைந்த வரிகள்
தேய்ந்து உரைந்த படங்கள்
இன்னும் உள்ளே சென்றால்
கிழிந்து போன காகிதங்கள்

இவை அணைத்தும் என் வாழ்விலா??

கிருக்கியது யார்?
கிழித்தது யார்?
அழித்தது யார்?
பின்னே உள்ள பக்கங்கள் பொலிவிழந்தது யாரால்?

இன்னும் கூர்ந்து பார்
என்றனர் சான்றோர்

காரணமாய்
பலர் முகங்களின் வரைபடங்கள்!
இத்தனை பேரா??
சினம் கொண்டேன்!!

இன்னும் கூர்ந்து பார்
என்றனர் சான்றோர்

இறுதி பக்கத்தில்
ஒரே வரி...
இவை அணைத்திற்கும் காரணம் நான்!
பக்கத்தில் என் கையொப்பம்

சிந்திப்போம்
அழகிய புத்தகத்தை உருவாக்குவோம்
பொலிவிழக்காது
பராமரிப்போம்!

New Year - Every Year - 2014

கவிதை எழுத பேனா எடுத்தேன்
ஓவியம் வறைய வண்ணங்கள் எடுத்தேன்
பட்டம் செய்ய காகிதம் எடுத்தேன்
மலர் வாசம் இழுக்க, மலர் மாலை தொடுத்தேன்

எடுத்தது ஒன்று,
முடித்தது ஒன்றென்று
காலம் கடந்தும்,
உணராத ஓட்டம் ஓடுகின்றோம் நாட்களுடன்

நாட்களும் ஓட , மாதங்களுடன்
மாதங்களும் ஓட, வருடங்களுடன்
நம் இலக்கும் ஓட, காலத்துடன்
நாமும் ஓடுகின்றோம், நம்பிக்கையுடன்

புதிதாய் ஓர் வாகனம்
ஓடுகின்ற இலக்கை பிடிக்க
இவ்வருடமாவது என
புத்தாண்டில் நாம்

புத்துணர்வோடும்,
புதிய சிந்தனையோடும்
உத்வேகத்துடனும்
பயனத்தை துவங்க...

இனிய ஆங்கில புத்தான்டு நல் வாழ்த்துக்கள்!!
 

இலக்கு

மனம் என்னும் காகிதத்தை
பட்டமாக்கி கற்பனையை
பறக்க செய்தேன்

மீட்டர் கனக்கில் நூல் இறுந்தும்,
காற்றை நோக்கி ஓடியும்
பறக்கவில்லை

உயர உயர ஏனி ஏரி
காற்றை செலுத்தி பட்டம் விட்டும்
பறக்கவில்லை

பட்டம் கீழே விழ
எட்டிப் பிடிக்கையில்,
பறந்தேன் நான், பட்டத்துடன் கீழே

அருகே முதியவர் ஒருவர், என்னை தாங்கி பிடித்து
பட்டத்தில் ஒட்டி இருந்த பாரத்தை அகற்றிட
விர்ரென காற்றில் பறந்து உயரத்தை அடைந்தது

உணர்ந்தேன் நான்,
நம் இலக்கை நாம் அடைய
நெடு நேர உழைப்போ
பாரமான சிந்தனையோ தேவையில்லை

லேசான மனதோடு
தெளிவான சிந்தனை கொண்டால்
வெற்றி இலக்கு நிச்சயம்!!
